Summary: Dylan has to win Blossom Queen. It would make her even more popular than she is now! She has the coolest boyfriend, the prettiest friends, and her dad is rich. But is she popular enough to win? Her rival, Nicole, also has a chance at the crown.
Josh has his own problems. He needs to come up for a subject for his new movie, which he is going to enter in the Film Festival. He decides to go with popularity, and he wants Dylan to star in it.
Dylan sees this as an opportunity to be better than Nicole. If she has a movie made about herself, there's no way Nicole could win!
As Josh continues to film Dylan, he sees that she's more than a snobby rich girl. Spoiler alert! Behind the super pretty and snobby popular girl, there's a heartbroken girl who's lost her mom. Her mom was the Blossom Queen in 1985, and Dylan is determined to be just like her.

What I Thought: Man, this was a cute movie. I loved it! The acting was great. I love how Dylan is like a real person, instead of just a movie character.

Summary: Brave was such a good movie! I loved it. It's about an eighteen year old girl named Merida, who is the princess. She's always been a tomboy, and when her Mother announces that men will be coming to compete for her hand in marriage, she just can't control her anger. She doesn't want to get married! The first born of every clan will compete for her hand. Merida soon decides that because she is the first born, she can compete too! If she wins, then she won't have to marry anyone! Her mother becomes very angry at the thought of it. Merida soon finds a witch who will change her Mother, but will she regret her decision?

What I thought: Excellent family movie!

movie review: madagascar 3 - europes most wanted.

This was a super funny movie! If you liked Madagascar 1 & 2, you will LOVE Madagascar 3!

Summary: The gang is still in Africa, and the penguins have left. Alex (the lion) still wants to go back to New York. They find the penguins in a casino, but can they escape animal control? Will they get back to the zoo? Will they stay at the zoo?

What I thought: Super funny! I loved it. It's a really awesome family movie. And hey -- it's still in theaters!

Summary: I really liked this movie. What's so cool about it is that it's like a fun history movie! The Civil War was in the 1800s, and still in the 1960s, white people are considered better than black people.... everyone thinks that... except for Skeeter. She wants to be a writer, and she wants her first book to help dark-skinned people. Can she keep her book a secret from her racist friends?

Romance: Skeeter goes on a date; getting pregnant before marriage;

Violence: Black people get arrested;

Other: Very low-cut dress;

What I thought: I haven't read the book (Mom read and says I can wait until I'm a teen...), but the movie was really good. I loved it! There is a lot of bad language, but other than that, one of the best movies ever! The characters are super funny, and all the little toddlers are adorable!

Rating/Age: 4.5 stars. Age 12-13+

Summary: Katniss Everdeen lives in District 12, in the country of Panem, the future of North America. The Government has too much control. Every year, two "tributes," teenagers aged 12-18, are selected to compete in the Hunger Games -- a fight to the death.

Violence: Scene where a tribute is beaten to death, getting shot with an arrow, being stung to death by "Tracker Jackers" (deadly bees), blacking out because of stings by Tracker Jackers, being eaten alive by dogs, being cut by a knife

What I Thought: Very good movie, and follows the book well! I loved it.

movie review: dolphin tale.

Dolphin Tale starts with Sawyer: a quiet kid in Summer School. His dad left five years before, so his cousin, Kyle, is like a father to him. Kyle has just graduated high school and is a pro swimmer. He wants to train for the Olympics, but doesn't have the money. He becomes a soldier for the U.S. Army, leaving Sawyer all alone.
Sawyer is riding his bike home from Summer School when a strange man calls him over to the beach. He found a dolphin curled up on the shore. They call her in, and she is rescued. About a week later, Sawyer sneeks into the dolphin's new home, and becomes friends with the owner's daughter, Hazel. Hazel's Dad soon tells them that they will have to amputate the dolphin's tail. Will she survive?
